Ciserano vs Castellanzese
CISERANO, Italy (Interstat) — Ciserano hosts Castellanzese on Sunday, May 3, in a Serie D matchup that features two teams heading in opposite directions.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for the home side, giving Ciserano a 67.4% win probability per its ELO system.
Castellanzese won the most recent head-to-head meeting, a 3-1 home victory Dec. 21, but arrives on a five-match winless streak. The visitors lost 3-1 at home to AC Milan on April 26, their third consecutive defeat. Since a 1-0 victory at AVC Vogherese 1919 on March 1, Castellanzese has managed just two draws in eight matches: 2-2 at AC ChievoVerona on April 19 and 2-2 at Varesina on March 18.
Castellanzese’s only other win this season came Feb. 8, a 2-1 result at Real Calepina. The club has been shut out five times in its last nine outings.
Ciserano also enters on a loss, falling 3-0 at Pavia on April 26. That snapped a two-match unbeaten run following a 6-1 home thrashing of AVC Vogherese 1919 on April 19 and a 2-1 loss to Varesina on April 2.
Ciserano’s form has been inconsistent but includes a signature moment: a 1-0 home victory over AC Milan on Feb. 8, arguably the highlight of the season. The club also notched a 2-1 home win over ASD Brusaporto on March 22 and has played to five draws, including back-to-back scoreless stalemates with Breno (Feb. 22) and Oltrepo FBC (Feb. 15).
Sunday’s match will kick off at the Stadio Comunale in Ciserano.
