GSD Ghiviborgo vs Grosseto

PREVIEW: Grosseto visits Ghiviborgo in Serie D clash

GHIVIBORGO, Italy (Interstat) — Grosseto visits GSD Ghiviborgo on Saturday, May 2, in a Serie D matchup that pits a side fighting for promotion against a team struggling near the relegation zone.

Grosseto enters the match with a 62.50 percent probability of winning, according to Interstat’s ELO system. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 final score in favor of the visitors.

Grosseto (10-8-8 in their last 26 matches) is coming off a 2-0 loss at San Don Tavarnelle on April 26. That defeat snapped a three-match unbeaten streak in which they drew Sansepolcro 2-2, Siena 1-1 and Follon Gavorrano 1-1. Overall, Grosseto has won four of their last 10 matches, with three draws and three losses. Their most recent victory came March 22 at Terra Traiana (1-0), and they also beat Tau Altopascio (1-0) on Feb. 15 and Sporting Trestina (2-1) on Feb. 8.

GSD Ghiviborgo (6-6-14 in their last 26 matches) lost 1-0 at Montevarchi on April 26, their third defeat in four games. The lone bright spot in that stretch was a 1-0 home win over Seravezza on April 19. Before that, Ghiviborgo had lost four straight, including a 3-0 home defeat to Prato on March 29. The team has managed only two wins in their last 12 matches — the Seravezza victory and a 6-2 thrashing of Follon Gavorrano on Feb. 22. In that same span, they have drawn four times and lost six.

The two teams last met Dec. 21, 2025, when Grosseto won 1-0 at Ghiviborgo. That result extended Grosseto’s recent dominance: they have won three of the last four head-to-head matches, with the other being a draw.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. local time. Grosseto will be without any reported suspensions; Ghiviborgo has no known injury concerns. The Serie D season is in its final weeks, with Grosseto still in contention for a promotion playoff spot, while Ghiviborgo is fighting to avoid relegation.
