Heraclea vs Ferrandina

HERACLEA, Italy (Interstat) — Heraclea hosts Ferrandina on Sunday, May 3, in a Serie D clash with playoff implications for the home side and relegation concerns for the visitors.

The matchup comes with both teams desperate for points. Heraclea enters on a three-match winless streak, most recently falling 2-1 at Martina Franca on April 26. That defeat followed a 3-1 home loss to Barletta on April 19 and a 2-1 loss at FC Pompei on April 12. The home side has managed just one victory in its last 10 outings across all competitions, a 1-0 decision against Real Acerran on Feb. 15. Heraclea’s record in that span stands at 1-4-5.

Ferrandina arrives in even worse form. The visitors have not won since a 1-0 home result against Nardo on April 26, snapping a six-match winless run. Before that, Ferrandina played to a scoreless draw at Puteolana on April 19 and suffered a 5-0 thrashing at home against Gravina on April 12. Overall, Ferrandina is winless in seven of its last eight, with a 1-1-6 record. The club has managed only two goals in its last nine matches and has been shut out in six of those.

The head-to-head series favors Ferrandina in the most recent meeting: a 2-1 home win on Dec. 21, 2025.

Despite that recent history, projections favor Heraclea. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 2-0 victory for the home side, and its ELO system gives Heraclea a 69.70 percent probability of winning.

Key for Heraclea will be finding offensive consistency. The team has scored multiple goals only once in its last eight matches. For Ferrandina, the road has been particularly unkind. The club has lost its last four away matches by a combined 8-0 scoreline.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. local time at Stadio Comunale.
