Naivas FC vs Kisumu All Stars
NAIROBI, Kenya (Interstat) — Naivas FC hosts Kisumu All Stars on Friday, May 1, in a Kenyan Super League matchup that pits a resurgent home side against a visiting team mired in a lengthy slump.
Naivas (5-3-2 in its last 10 league matches) enters off a 4-1 victory at Talanta on April 25. That win ended a two-game losing streak that included a 2-1 home defeat to 3K FC on April 18 and a 1-0 loss at Migori Youth on April 12. Over its last 10 games, Naivas has scored 15 goals while conceding 11, with highlights including a 3-1 win over Nairobi City Stars on March 14 and a 3-0 victory at Luanda Villa SC on Feb. 28. The team’s balanced attack has seen contributions from multiple players, and its defense has allowed more than one goal only twice in the last six matches.
Kisumu All Stars (2-8-0 in its last 10) has lost eight of its last 10 contests. The most recent was a 2-0 defeat at Luanda Villa SC on April 26, following a 2-1 loss at Fortune Sacco on April 19. Kisumu’s only wins in that stretch came at home against Nairobi City Stars (1-0 on April 12) and against Kampong Speu Province (2-0 on March 29). The team has been outscored 18-5 in those 10 games, with five shutout losses. Finding consistent offense remains the primary challenge for a side that has been shut out in seven of its last 10 outings.
The two teams met Dec. 12, 2025, with Kisumu winning 1-0 at home. That result gave Kisumu a 2-1 edge in the last three head-to-head meetings, but Naivas had won the previous two.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Naivas, and the same analytics firm’s ELO system gives the home side an 81.6% probability to win. Friday’s match marks the first of three consecutive home games for Naivas, offering a chance to build momentum before a road trip to Nzoia Sugar FC on May 10. Kisumu, meanwhile, travels to SamWest Blackboots FC on May 3 before hosting Michael Olunga FA on May 10.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Naivas Stadium. Both teams face a packed May schedule as the Super League season approaches its final stretch, making each result critical for positioning.
