VIENNA (Interstat) — Kelvin Boateng scored in the 69th minute Sunday, lifting Young Violets Austria Wien to a 1-0 victory over Hocheg Dacher E/H at Generali Arena in a Bundesliga match. Abubakr Barry provided the assist on the goal and also received a yellow card in the 65th minute. The win gave Young Violets a 10-10-7 record in the competition and an 18-17-11 mark across all competitions. Hocheg Dacher fell to 9-9-10 in league play and 23-15-14 overall. The result reversed a 1-0 loss to Hocheg Dacher on March 22. Boateng’s strike was the only goal of the contest. The match was the second meeting between the sides this season. Young Violets’ defense held Hocheg Dacher scoreless for the full 90 minutes. The win moved Young Violets above .500 in league play. Hocheg Dacher remained below .500. Boateng’s goal came off a pass from Barry. Young Violets next play at S-W Bregenz on May 8, while Hocheg Dacher travels to SVFS Tillmitsch on May 5.
