Tigres had struggled for consistency, going 2-3-1 in its last six league games, including a 1-0 loss to Atlas on Apr. 22 and a 2-1 defeat at Pachuca on Apr. 19. Its most recent win before Saturday was a 5-1 rout of Mazatlán on Apr. 25.

The match also marked the return of several key players from injury for both sides, though neither team disclosed specific lineup changes.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Tigres 1, Guadalajara 1. Interstat’s ELO system had projected Tigres with a 66.70 percent probability to win.
