PAFOS, Cyprus (Interstat) — Akritas defeated Ethnikos Achna 1-0 on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Stadio Stelios Kyriakides in a Cyprus 1. Division match. The win improved Akritas to 7-14-3 in league play and 7-15-6 overall. Ethnikos Achna fell to 7-16 in the league and 8-18-3 across all competitions.

Akritas secured its third win in four matches, following a 2-1 victory at EN Paralimníou on April 25 and a 1-0 win over AE Olympiakos Lefkosias on April 19. Ethnikos Achna, which had won its previous league match 2-1 against AE Olympiakos on April 26, could not replicate that form. The loss continued a mixed run for the visitors, who had alternated wins and losses in recent weeks. Akritas’ defense held firm, posting a clean sheet for the first time in several matches. The result kept Akritas above Ethnikos Achna in the standings based on a superior draw record. Both teams are mid-table in the 14-club division.

The visitors had won the previous meeting between the sides in December 2025 by a 3-1 score. No further details on the goal were immediately available.
