TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (Interstat) — Olimpia routed Platense 4-0 on Thursday night at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés, extending its commanding run in the Liga Nacional.

Elías García opened the scoring in the 38th minute. Jorge Benguché doubled the lead in the 74th minute, and Edwin Rodríguez added a third in the 86th minute. Jorge Álvarez capped the rout in second-half stoppage time.

Olimpia improved to 27 wins, six losses and 12 draws in league play, while Platense fell to 14 wins, 16 losses and 11 draws. Olimpia also matched that record across all competitions, while Platense remained identical across all formats.

The victory continued Olimpia’s recent dominance over Platense, having won the previous two head-to-head meetings in March and November 2025. Platense entered on a 1-0 win over Olancho on April 26 but had lost three of its previous five matches.

Olimpia, meanwhile, bounced back from a 3-2 defeat at Real Espana on April 25, having won three of its prior four games. The hosts controlled possession and created consistent chances, outshooting Platense throughout the contest.
