AL BATAEH AND SHARJAH PLAY TO SCORELESS DRAW

SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates (Interstat) — Al Bataeh CSC and Sharjah FC played to a 0-0 draw Sunday in an Arabian Gulf League match at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium.

The game featured six players receiving two yellow cards each, leading to multiple ejections. Shaheen Abdelrahman, a substitute, was sent off in the 30th minute after receiving his second caution. Diney followed in the 57th minute, and Ruan Santos in the 59th. Álvaro Felicíssimo and Igor Coronado were both dismissed late, in the 88th and 89th minutes respectively. All three assists credited in the game — from Ruan Santos, Diney and Shaheen Abdelrahman — went unused as neither side could convert.

Sharjah, which lost 5-0 to Al Ain FC in its previous match, moved to 6-11-5 in league play and 8-14-7 overall. Al Bataeh, coming off a 2-1 defeat to Dibba SCC, fell to 3-12-7 in the league and 3-12-9 across all competitions. The result mirrored the teams’ January meeting, which Al Bataeh won 2-0 at Sharjah.
