R-W Koblenz vs FV Engers 07
KOBLENZ, Germany (Interstat) — R-W Koblenz will host FV Engers 07 on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in an Oberliga matchup with playoff implications for both sides.
Koblenz enters the contest on a two-match unbeaten run after a 2-2 draw with Mechtersheim on Friday. That result followed a 1-1 tie at Arm Ludwigshafen on April 25. The home side has shown offensive firepower recently, scoring four goals in a 4-0 win over Gonsenheim on April 4 and six in a 6-0 shutout of Auersmacher on March 28. However, Koblenz also suffered a 2-1 loss at SC 07 Idar-Oberstein on March 21 and was routed 5-0 by Kaiserslautern II on Nov. 29.
FV Engers 07 arrives after a dominant 6-2 victory over VfR Wormatia 08 Worms on April 25. That win snapped a three-match winless stretch that included a 1-0 loss to Eintracht Trier and a 3-1 defeat at TuS Koblenz on April 15. The visitors have flashed scoring ability this season, posting a 5-4 win at Hertha Wiesbach on March 7 and a 3-1 victory at Auersmacher on Nov. 29. But inconsistency has plagued Engers, which also settled for a 1-1 draw with Dudenhofen on March 14 and managed only a 0-0 tie with Gau-Odernheim on Dec. 6.
The teams last met Oct. 17, when FV Engers 07 won 1-0 at home. That result extended Engers’ recent head-to-head edge, though the sample size is limited.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for R-W Koblenz. The company’s ELO system gives Koblenz a 62.90 percent probability to win.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday. FV Engers 07 will travel to Alemannia Waldalgesheim on Sunday, May 3.
Both teams are competing for position in the Oberliga standings late in the season. Koblenz will rely on its balanced attack and recent home form, while Engers looks to build on its lopsided win last weekend.
