Sisonkhe FC vs Manzini Wanderers

MBABANE, Eswatini (Interstat) — Sisonkhe FC will look to build on a slender winning streak when it hosts a Manzini Wanderers side mired in a season-long slump in an Eswatini Premier League match Wednesday.

The game is scheduled for April 29 at a venue to be announced. A simulator from Interstat projects the contest will end in a 1-1 draw, matching the result of the teams’ most recent meeting Dec. 10.

Manzini Wanderers enters the match on a three-game losing streak, including a 2-0 defeat at home against Mbabane Swallows on April 22. The club has not recorded a victory since a 2-1 loss to Royal Leopards on Jan. 10, a span of more than three months. In that time, Manzini has been shut out in six of its last seven matches, and has scored just three goals over its last 11 league games. The team has won only once this season.

Sisonkhe FC, conversely, has found modest recent success. It defeated Amawele FC 1-0 on April 22 and is unbeaten in its last two matches. Sisonkhe’s season has been inconsistent, with four wins, four losses and two draws in its last 10 games. The club has scored nine goals while conceding 12 in league play this season.

In the Dec. 10 matchup, Sisonkhe played Manzini to a 1-1 draw. Wednesday’s fixture marks the second and final regular-season meeting between the clubs. With the season nearing its end, both teams are fighting for position in the middle of the league table.
