Musanze FC vs Kiyovu Sports
KIGALI, Rwanda (Interstat) — Musanze FC will host Kiyovu Sports on Saturday in a Rwanda National Soccer League match that pits two clubs seeking to reverse recent scoring struggles.
The game is scheduled for May 2 at an undetermined venue.
Musanze FC enters the match on a two-game losing streak, having failed to score in either contest. The side last found the net in a 3-1 win over Marine FC on Jan. 11. Since then, Musanze has gone scoreless in consecutive losses: a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Amagaju FC on April 17 and a 2-0 loss to APR FC on March 14.
The team’s form has been inconsistent. Musanze has managed just two wins in its last 10 league matches, with a 2-1 victory over Bugesera FC on Feb. 22 and a 3-0 win against Gicumbi FC on Jan. 30 being the only bright spots. The club has been shut out in six of those 10 matches.
Kiyovu Sports is also struggling to generate offense. The visitors are winless in their last three matches, most recently playing to a 0-0 draw with Etincelles on April 26. That result followed a 2-1 loss to Al Hilal SC Omdurman on April 18. Kiyovu’s last victory came March 22, a 1-0 result against Rutsiro.
A deeper look at Kiyovu’s season shows a mixed bag. The team has recorded wins over AS Kigali FC (3-1 on March 15) and Mukura (3-0 on Feb. 7) but has also suffered defeats to Marine FC and Bugesera FC. In its last 10 matches, Kiyovu has posted a 3-4-3 record.
The two sides last met on Oct. 20, 2025, a match that ended in a 0-0 stalemate in Kigali.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Saturday’s contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.
With both teams sitting in the bottom half of the league table, a victory for either side would provide a much-needed boost. The match marks a crucial juncture for both clubs as they look to build momentum in the second half of the season.
