AS Kigali FC vs Al Hilal SC Omdurman
KIGALI, Rwanda (Interstat) — Al Hilal SC Omdurman visits AS Kigali FC on Sunday, May 3, in a National Soccer League matchup that pits one of Rwanda’s hottest teams against a home side desperate to snap a recent slump.
Kickoff is at (time not provided) at Kigali’s (stadium name not provided).
The visitors enter on a three-match winning streak in league play. Al Hilal defeated Kiyovu Sports 2-1 on April 18, drew with Marine FC 1-1 on April 4, and beat Amagaju FC 2-1 on March 31. Over their last 10 games, the Omdurman club has compiled a 7-2-1 record, outscoring opponents 21-10.
AS Kigali FC, meanwhile, ended a four-match winless run with a 1-0 victory at Marine FC on April 17. Before that, the hosts had lost 2-0 to Bugesera FC on March 21 and 3-1 to Kiyovu Sports on March 15. The team’s overall form over the past 10 matches stands at 3-3-4, with nine goals scored and 11 conceded.
The two clubs last met Dec. 29, 2025, when Al Hilal won 4-2 at home. That result extended Al Hilal’s dominance in the head-to-head series; the visitor has won the past two meetings.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-0 victory for Al Hilal SC Omdurman.
Al Hilal’s season has been marked by consistent scoring. In addition to the recent wins, they posted a 5-0 rout of Gicumbi FC on March 3, a 4-0 win over Rayon Sports on Jan. 17, and a 2-0 victory over APR FC on Feb. 10. Their only two losses since January came against Mukura (3-1 on Feb. 28) and El Merreikh SC Omdurman (2-1 on Feb. 17).
AS Kigali FC has struggled to generate offense. The team has been shut out in four of its last seven matches, including a 0-0 draw with Etincelles on March 1 and a 1-0 loss to El Merreikh SC Omdurman on Feb. 22. Their best attacking performance during that stretch was a 2-0 win over Amagaju FC on Feb. 15.
Defensively, the home side has held opponents to one goal or fewer in seven of its last 10 matches, but has allowed multiple goals in three of those games.
Sunday’s contest is part of the Rwanda National Soccer League’s regular season. Both teams are vying for position in the standings as the campaign enters its final stretch.
Al Hilal will rely on its depth and recent momentum, while AS Kigali looks to protect home pitch and build on its narrow win over Marine.
