Kasimpasa vs Kocaelispor

ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Kasimpasa hosts Kocaelispor on Sunday, May 3, in a Süper Lig matchup that pits two mid-table clubs against each other with contrasting recent form.

The teams played to a 0-0 draw in their last meeting Dec. 7, 2025, in Kocaeli. That result extended a trend of low-scoring affairs between the sides; the previous four head-to-head games have produced only four total goals.

Kocaelispor enters the match on a two-game losing streak. The visitors fell 3-2 at Universitatea Cluj of Romania in a friendly Friday, May 1, and lost 1-0 at Gençlerbirliği SK on April 26. That defeat followed a 1-1 draw at Goztepe on April 18 and a 1-1 draw at Galatasaray on April 12. Kocaelispor’s only win in its last 11 league matches came March 9, a 1-0 victory at Eyupspor. The club has been outscored 10-4 over its past six Süper Lig games, including a 5-0 loss at Alanyaspor on March 18.

Kasimpasa, meanwhile, is coming off a 4-0 loss at Rams Başakşehir FK on April 24, a result that snapped a three-match unbeaten run. Before that defeat, Kasimpasa had beaten Alanyaspor 1-0 on April 19, drawn 3-3 at Goztepe on April 12 and won 2-0 at Kayserispor on April 4. The home side has been inconsistent: three wins, three losses and two draws in its last eight league games. Kasimpasa’s attack has been productive at times, scoring 12 goals over that span, but the defense has also conceded 12.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is a 1-1 draw.

Both teams have immediate follow-up matches next Saturday, May 9. Kocaelispor returns home to face Fatih Karagümrük SK, while Kasimpasa travels to play Gençlerbirliği SK.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at a time to be announced by the Turkish Football Federation. Kasimpasa will be seeking its first home win since March 15 against Eyupspor; Kocaelispor is still looking for its first away victory since Feb. 15 at Gaziantep FK.
