NEVESINJE, Bosnia-Herzegovina (Interstat) — Velez Nevesinje will host Zvijezda 09 on Saturday in a 1st League of Bosnia and Herzegovina matchup, with the visitors seeking to avenge a lopsided loss in their most recent outing.
The game is scheduled for April 25, 2026. Zvijezda 09 enters on a four-match winless streak, including a 3-0 defeat at ZFK Leo Trebinje on April 11. The loss followed a 3-0 victory over FK Omarska on April 4, but Zvijezda 09 has managed only one win in its last six league matches. Since a 2-0 home victory over Velez Nevesinje on Oct. 24, 2025, the club has gone 2-5-4, with draws against Vlasenica, Famos Vojkovici and Laktasi, and losses to Drina Zvornik, Sutjeska Foca, Famos Vojkovici, Tekstilac Derventa and Romanija Pale.
Velez Nevesinje, meanwhile, played to a 1-1 draw with Kozara Gradiska on Wednesday, its second consecutive result after a 3-1 win at Famos Vojkovici on April 11. However, that victory snapped a four-match losing streak that included a 4-0 defeat at Laktasi, a 4-1 loss at Sutjeska Foca, a 2-1 loss at Drina Zvornik and a 3-0 home loss to Banja Luka. Since the start of October, Velez Nevesinje has won only two of 12 league games, with one additional draw. The club has been outscored 28-11 in that span.
In the most recent head-to-head meeting, Zvijezda 09 won 2-0 at home on Oct. 24. That result improved Zvijezda 09’s record against Velez Nevesinje, though overall series history was not immediately available.
Saturday’s contest is part of the 1st League, the second tier of Bosnian football. The league features 16 clubs competing for promotion to the Premier League.
