Bravos do Maquis vs Recr Do Libolo
LUANDA, Angola (Interstat) — Bravos do Maquis host Recr Do Libolo on Saturday, April 25, in a Girabola matchup that pits a resurgent home side against a visiting team mired in a deep slump.
Kickoff is set for an undetermined time at Maquis’s home ground. The game is the first of two scheduled meetings this season; their most recent encounter on Nov. 29, 2025, saw Recr Do Libolo win 2-1 at home.
Bravos do Maquis enter the match with mixed form. They lost 2-1 at Sao Salvador Kongo on April 19, their only defeat in the last five games. Prior to that, they drew 1-1 with 1 de Agosto on April 12, lost 1-0 to Wiliete on April 8, beat Acad Lobito 1-0 on April 4 and drew 1-1 with Sagrada Esperanca on March 21. Overall, Bravos have four wins, three draws and three losses in their last 10 league outings, with victories over 1º de Maio, Guelson, CA Lunda-Sul and Redonda.
Recr Do Libolo, by contrast, have lost seven of their last 10 matches. Their lone win came April 18, a 3-1 home victory over Sagrada Esperanca. That snapped a six-game losing streak that included defeats to Desportivo Huila, Petro de Luanda, Guelson, CA Lunda-Sul, Luanda City and Kabuscorp, plus a 1-1 draw with 1º de Maio. Before the Sagrada win, Libolo had not won since a Jan. 31 draw at Acad Lobito.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Bravos do Maquis, and the outlet’s ELO system gives the home side an 83.20 percent probability of winning. Bravos will rely on their solid home form and a defense that has kept three clean sheets in their last six matches. Libolo, meanwhile, have scored only three goals in their last 10 games, all in the Sagrada victory.
After Saturday, Bravos do Maquis face Kabuscorp at home on April 25 (note: this appears to be a scheduling conflict; the game described is April 25, so the next match is April 30 at Luanda City, then May 9 vs. Redonda). Recr Do Libolo’s next contests are May 2 at home against Sao Salvador Kongo and May 9 vs. Acad Lobito.
The Girabola season continues with both teams looking to climb the standings. Bravos can build momentum, while Libolo seek consistency after their rare win.
