Türkgücü München vs FC Pipinsried
MUNICH, GERMANY (Interstat) — FC Pipinsried will look to extend its dominant run when it visits Türkgücü München on Saturday, April 25, in an Oberliga matchup between two clubs heading in opposite directions.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time at Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße.
FC Pipinsried (8-7-6) enters the contest coming off a 5-0 thrashing of Sturm Hauzenberg on Tuesday, April 21. The victory was the third in the past four games for the visitors, who have surged into the upper half of the table. Over that stretch, Pipinsried has outscored opponents 8-1, with clean sheets in two of those outings.
The run follows a more uneven period. Prior to the current hot streak, Pipinsried managed just one win in five matches (Interstat) — a 3-0 result against Schald-Heining on April 10 (Interstat) — while dropping decisions to SF Schwaig and Gundelfingen, and playing to a pair of scoreless draws against Heimstetten and Ismaning.
Türkgücü München (2-10-9), by contrast, has struggled throughout the season and sits near the bottom of the standings. The home side played to a 2-2 draw at Schald-Heining on April 18, snapping a nine-match losing streak that dated to a Nov. 29 defeat to Landsberg.
That draw was only Türkgücü’s second result of any kind since late February. The club has been outscored 22-2 in its last nine losses, including shutout defeats to Ismaning, Sturm Hauzenberg, Nordlingen and TuS Geretsried during that skid. The only other non-loss came in a scoreless draw against Ismaning on March 7.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 victory for FC Pipinsried, while Interstat’s ELO system gives the visitors a 52.20 percent probability to win.
The Oberliga is the fifth tier of German football.
