KIEL, Germany (Interstat) — Inter Turk Kiel will host VfR Neumunster on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in an Oberliga matchup that pits a team on a three-game unbeaten run against a side desperate to halt a slide.

VfR Neumunster enters the contest at Inter Turk Kiel’s home ground riding momentum from a 3-1 victory over Oldenburger SV on April 19. The win extended the visitors’ recent form to four results without a loss in their past five league outings, following a 2-2 draw with Union Neumunster on April 15 and a 3-0 shutout of MTSV Hohenwestedt on April 11.

The head-to-head history favors the visitors. In the most recent meeting between the clubs on Oct. 12, 2025, VfR Neumunster defeated Inter Turk Kiel, 2-1, at home. That result marked the only time the two sides have played in the past two seasons, according to league records.

Inter Turk Kiel comes off a 3-0 defeat to Holstein Kiel on April 19, the home team’s fifth loss in its past seven matches. A 5-1 drubbing by SV Eichede on April 12 punctuated a difficult stretch that includes only one victory in the past seven games, a 3-2 win over Oldenburger SV on March 29.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-2 draw.

VfR Neumunster has shown offensive consistency, scoring at least two goals in six of its past eight matches, including a 4-1 win at Heider SV on March 7 and a 3-3 draw at 1. FC Phönix Lübeck II on March 22. However, the visitors have also displayed defensive vulnerability, allowing three goals in a 3-2 loss to SV Todesfelde on March 15.

Inter Turk Kiel’s struggles have been concentrated at home, where the team has lost three of its past four matches. The only home victory in that span came against Oldenburger SV. The side has been outscored 12-5 during that stretch.

Following Sunday’s game, VfR Neumunster travels to Eutiner SpVgg 08 on April 30, while Inter Turk Kiel next faces Todesfelde at home on May 23. Both teams are competing in the Oberliga, Germany’s fifth-tier league.
