Soy United vs Nairobi City Stars

SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2026 (Interstat) — Soy United will try to halt a three-match losing streak Sunday when they host Nairobi City Stars in a Kenyan Super League match.

Soy United (2-6-3 through 11 matches) lost 1-0 at Mombasa United FC on April 19, their third consecutive defeat. The team has scored just one goal over that stretch, a 2-0 win over Mwatate United on April 4 being their last victory.

Nairobi City Stars (1-6-4 through 11 matches) enter on a four-match winless run, including a 2-0 home loss Saturday, April 18 (Interstat) — their most recent result and their second consecutive shutout defeat. The club’s sole win this season came Feb. 21, a 3-2 victory over Fortune Sacco.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw. The same firm’s ELO system gives Nairobi City Stars a 56.4% probability to win.

Nairobi City Stars have scored just seven goals in 11 league matches while allowing 12. Defensive lapses have been costly: they have been held scoreless in seven of 11 fixtures. Their only multi-goal performance came in that 3-2 win against Fortune Sacco.

Soy United have found more consistency at home but have dropped three straight overall. The club has posted two clean sheets this season (Interstat) — a 0-0 draw with Talanta on March 8 and a 2-0 win at Mwatate United on April 4 (Interstat) — but have been outscored 5-2 in their past three matches.

Both clubs sit in the lower half of the Super League table and are searching for rhythm. Soy United’s recent results include a 1-0 loss to Nzoia Sugar FC on April 12 and a 2-1 loss to Migori Youth on March 15. Nairobi City Stars’ run includes a 3-0 loss at 3K FC on April 3 and a 1-1 draw with Michael Olunga FA on March 28.

Kickoff is set for Sunday at Soy Stadium.
