Kisumu All Stars vs Luanda Villa SC

KISUMU, Kenya (Interstat) — Kisumu All Stars host Luanda Villa SC on Saturday in a Kenya Super League matchup that pits a home side seeking consistency against a visitor mired in a deep slump.

The game at Kisumu’s Moi Stadium on April 25 is scheduled for a 3 p.m. local kickoff. The teams last met Dec. 21, when Villa won 3-1 at home. Since then, the fortunes of the two clubs have diverged sharply.

Luanda Villa enters on a three-match losing streak, most recently falling 1-0 at home to Kibera Black Stars on April 19. That defeat extended a troubling pattern for Villa, whose season has been defined by offensive struggles and defensive lapses. Over their last 10 league matches, Villa has managed just two wins — a 1-0 decision against Nairobi City Stars on March 22 and a 1-0 result against MCF on March 8 — while suffering seven losses and a draw. The club has been shut out six times in that span, including a 5-0 loss to 3K FC on Feb. 15 and a 3-0 defeat to Migori Youth on April 5.

Kisumu All Stars also lost its most recent outing, a 2-1 defeat at Fortune Sacco on April 19. But the home side had shown signs of life prior to that, earning a 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars on April 12 and a 2-0 victory against Kampong Speu Province on March 29. All Stars’ season has been uneven — the club has compiled five wins, 10 losses and a draw in its last 16 matches. Consistency has been elusive: wins have been followed by heavy defeats, including a 5-1 loss to Talanta on Feb. 28 and a 4-0 loss to Mombasa United FC on Feb. 15.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 victory for Kisumu All Stars, a result that would align with the home side’s recent ability to keep clean sheets in wins. Villa, meanwhile, has scored just four goals in its past 10 matches and has not won on the road since that March 22 victory in Nairobi.

Both teams face demanding schedules ahead. Villa travels to Nzoia Sugar FC on Saturday, then hosts Mwatate United on May 2. All Stars host Kabati Youth FC on Saturday before visiting SamWest Blackboots FC on May 3. A result Saturday could provide crucial momentum.
