Brinkumer SV vs Leher TS

BRINKUM, Germany (Interstat) — Brinkumer SV will host Leher TS on Saturday, April 25, in an Oberliga matchup that pits a home side seeking to rebound from a shutout loss against a visiting team fighting for consistency.

Brinkumer SV (8-4-7 in its last 19 league matches) enters the contest at home, where it has historically been strong. The squad, however, is coming off a 3-0 defeat to Blumenthaler SV on April 11. Prior to that, Brinkumer SV posted a 5-2 victory at Leher TS on Nov. 7 — the most recent head-to-head meeting between the two clubs.

The home side has shown offensive firepower this season, scoring five or more goals in four of its last 10 outings, including a 7-0 win over Sebaldsbrueck on March 15 and a 6-1 victory against Vatan Sport on Feb. 28. But defensive lapses have also surfaced, as in a 3-2 loss to Eiche Horn on April 1.

Leher TS (2-6-8 in its last 16 league fixtures) has struggled for form. The visitors are winless in their last three matches, most recently drawing 2-2 with Vatan Sport on April 17. That result followed losses to FC Union 60 Bremen (1-0 on April 11) and Habenhauser FV (3-0 on April 2).

Leher TS’s season has been marked by dramatic swings. A 5-3 win at ESC Geestemunde on March 22 was bookended by a 4-0 defeat to Hemelingen on March 15 and a scoreless draw with FC Oberneuland on March 18.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-2 victory for Brinkumer SV, reflecting the home side’s offensive edge and Leher TS’s defensive vulnerabilities. Brinkumer SV has averaged 2.4 goals per game over its last 10 contests, while Leher TS has conceded at least three goals in four of its last seven.

Saturday’s match will be played at Brinkumer SV’s home pitch. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time.
