SPANISH TOWN, British Virgin Islands (Interstat) — Sugar Boyz earned a 2-1 comeback victory over Panthers on Sunday at Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground in the BVIFA National League opener for both sides.

Panthers struck immediately, with Romario Williams scoring in the first minute. The visiting side held the lead until the 61st minute, when Derrol Redhead equalized for the home team. Sugar Boyz found the decisive goal later in the second half to secure the win.

The result opens the league campaign for each club. Panthers entered with a strong overall season record but could not maintain their early advantage. The match was a reversal of their previous meeting in December, which Panthers won 3-0.
