Chernomorets vs Sportist Svoge

SOFIA, Bulgaria (Interstat) — Chernomorets will host Sportist Svoge on Friday, May 15, in a Bulgarian Second League match that carries implications for both sides as the season enters its final weeks.

Chernomorets (8-8-10) enters the contest at home following a 3-0 loss at Marek on Monday, May 11. The defeat extended a run of erratic form: a 1-1 draw with SFK Etar Veliko Tarnovo on May 3, a 3-1 win at Hebar on Apr. 27, and a 1-0 loss at OFK Belasitsa Petrich on Apr. 4. Overall, Chernomorets has won three, drawn three and lost four of its past 10 league matches.

Sportist Svoge (9-7-10) arrives with momentum after a 2-0 home victory over Pirin Blagoevgrad on Monday. That result snapped a three-match losing streak that included a 3-0 loss at OFK Belasitsa Petrich on May 2, a 4-2 defeat at Lokomotiv Sofia 1929 on Apr. 19, and a 1-0 home loss to FK Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa on Mar. 29. Prior to that skid, Svoge had won three of four, with a 1-0 victory at FC Sevlievo on Mar. 25 and a 2-2 draw at Ludogorets II on Feb. 16.

The most recent meeting between the sides this season ended in a 1-0 victory for Chernomorets on Nov. 22, 2025, when a goal at FC Sevlievo gave the home team three points. Friday’s match will be the second of two regular-season encounters.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Chernomorets, though both teams have shown inconsistency. Chernomorets has struggled to score consistently, managing just two goals in its last three matches. Sportist Svoge, meanwhile, has been vulnerable on the road, with three of its last four away losses coming by multiple goals.

The Second League standings remain tight. A win for Chernomorets would provide a boost as it prepares to visit FC Sevlievo on May 23. Sportist Svoge, after Friday, hosts Hebar on the same date.

Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. local time.
