Gandzasar vs Noah
GANDZASAR VS. NOAH PREVIEW
YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — Gandzasar hosts Noah on Wednesday, May 6, in an Armenian First League matchup that carries playoff implications for both sides.
Noah enters the game on a three-match unbeaten run after a 1-1 draw Sunday at home against Pyunik. That result followed a 2-0 loss at Ararat-Armenia on May 2 and a scoreless draw with Ararat-Armenia FA on April 29. Noah (8-3-5) sits near the top of the table and has won four of its last six matches overall.
Gandzasar (6-6-4) last played April 26, a 3-2 home victory over Shirak. Before that, the side drew 1-1 at Yerevan on April 19 and lost 3-0 at home to Noah on April 10. Despite the win over Shirak, Gandzasar has been inconsistent, with only two wins in its past five outings.
The head-to-head record strongly favors Noah. In the most recent meeting April 10, Noah won 3-0 in Gandzasar. Earlier this season, Noah defeated Gandzasar 4-1 at home on Aug. 17, 2025. Noah has outscored Gandzasar 7-1 in those two matches.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.
Noah’s schedule remains demanding. After Wednesday, the team faces Urartu on May 14 in the Armenian Cup, then hosts Ararat on May 19 in league play before traveling to Pyunik on May 23.
Gandzasar will look to tighten its defense after conceding 10 goals in its last four matches against Noah. The home side has not kept a clean sheet against Noah since August 2024.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. local time at Gandzasar Stadium in Kapan.
