PFK Slavia Sofia vs FK Botev Vratsa

SOFIA, Bulgaria (Interstat) — PFK Slavia Sofia will host FK Botev Vratsa on Sunday, April 26, in a Bulgarian First League matchup that has produced parity in recent meetings.

The teams played to a 2-2 draw in their most recent encounter July 20, 2025, in Vratsa. Sunday’s game at Slavia’s home stadium marks the second fixture of the season between the mid-table sides.

FK Botev Vratsa enters the match with momentum, having won two of its last three league games. The visitors defeated Lokomotiv 1929 3-2 on the road Tuesday, a result that followed a 1-0 loss at FK CSKA 1948 Sofia on April 10 and a scoreless draw at Septemvri Sofia on April 6.

Botev Vratsa’s season has been defined by low-scoring affairs. The team has been held without a goal in seven of its last 11 matches, including four 0-0 draws. Its only away victory during that stretch came March 7, a 1-0 win at PFK Arda 1924 Kardzhali.

PFK Slavia Sofia will aim to rebound after a 0-0 draw at Montana on April 16, its second consecutive result without a victory. The hosts lost 2-1 to Septemvri Sofia on April 10 prior to the Montana stalemate, but they had shown offensive capability earlier this month with a 3-1 win at PFK Cherno More Varna on April 5.

Slavia’s results have been mixed, with three wins, four losses and two draws in its last nine outings. The team has struggled against top competition, dropping matches to PFK CSKA Sofia 1-0 on Feb. 21 and to FK CSKA 1948 Sofia 2-0 on Feb. 27. However, Slavia has also produced strong offensive performances, including a 3-0 win at PFK Beroe Stara Zagora on March 3.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, reflecting both teams’ tendencies toward tight defensive contests. Botev Vratsa averages less than a goal per game on the road, while Slavia has shown vulnerability at home with three losses in its last five home matches.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
