SUBOTICA, Serbia (Interstat) — Backa Topola scored four goals Thursday to defeat Spartak Subotica 4-1 in a Super Liga match at Gradski stadion.

Kwaku Osei Bonsu opened the scoring in the fourth minute, redirecting a cross from the right flank past Spartak goalkeeper Marko Drobnjak. Backa Topola doubled its lead in the 17th minute when Andrej Todoroski collected a loose ball inside the area and fired a low shot into the far corner.

Spartak Subotica cut the deficit in the 64th minute. Mihajlo Milosavić rose above a defender to head home a corner kick, giving the home side a brief surge of momentum. However, Todoroski restored Backa Topola’s two-goal advantage in the 75th minute, finishing a counterattack with a composed finish from 12 yards.

Dragoljub Savić sealed the result in the third minute of second-half stoppage time, slotting home after a defensive miscue left him unmarked at the back post.

The victory pushed Backa Topola’s league record to nine wins, 12 losses and 10 draws. Across all competitions, the club stands at nine wins, 13 losses and 11 draws. Spartak Subotica dropped to four wins, 16 losses and eight draws in league play, and four wins, 16 losses and nine draws overall.

Backa Topola entered the match after a 4-1 home win over Napred Markovac on April 19. The club had gone winless in three previous league games, including a 1-1 draw at Red Star Belgrade and a 3-1 loss to IMT Novi Beograd. Thursday’s result marked the third meeting between the two sides this season; Backa Topola won 2-1 at Spartak Subotica on Dec. 8, 2025, and 2-0 at home on Aug. 2, 2025.

Spartak Subotica came into the game on a five-match winless streak in league play, most recently falling 1-0 at Javor Ivanjica on April 19. The club’s last league victory was a 2-0 win at Radnicki Nis on March 14.

Backa Topola travels to face Mladost Lucani on April 27. Spartak Subotica visits Radn Kragujevac the same day.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a 1-1 draw before kickoff. Interstat’s ELO system gave Backa Topola a 67.50 percent probability of winning the match.
