KATOWICE, Poland (Interstat) — GKS Katowice and Jag Bialystok played to a 2-2 draw Sunday in their Ekstraklasa season opener at Stadion Miejski w Katowicach.

Bartosz Nowak put the hosts ahead in the third minute. Bernardo Vital equalized for Jag Bialystok in the 31st minute, sending the teams into halftime tied at 1-1. Borja Galán gave Jag the lead in the 78th minute, but Afimico Pululu found the net for Katowice to level the score. Each goal was assisted by a teammate.

The match saw four yellow cards: Marcin Wasielewski in the 82nd minute, Arkadiusz Jędrych in the 85th, Marius Olsen in the 90th and Jesús Imaz in the first minute of stoppage time.

Both teams opened their seasons with a draw, moving to 0-0-1 in the league and all competitions.
