Gorica vs Rudar

NOVA GORICA, Slovenia (Interstat) — Gorica hosts Rudar on Saturday in a 2. SNL match at Gorica Sports Park, with both sides looking to build momentum after mixed recent results.

The teams played to a 2-2 draw in their most recent meeting Oct. 18, 2025, in Velenje.

Rudar enters Saturday’s match off a 1-1 draw with Dravinja on April 25. The result extended an uneven run for the visitors, who have one win in their last five matches — a 4-0 victory over Slovan Ljubljana on April 3. Rudar has drawn four of its last six contests, including scoreless stalemates against Krka on April 17 and Ilirija on April 11. The team’s other results this season include a 5-0 win at Bilje on March 7, but also losses to Brinje Grosuplje (3-2 on March 21), Beltinci (2-1 on March 15) and Triglav (2-0 on March 27).

Gorica comes in after a convincing 3-0 win at Slovan Ljubljana on April 25 — its first victory in six matches. Before that result, the home side had lost four straight, including defeats to Triglav (1-0 on April 18), Brinje Grosuplje (1-0 on April 10) and Beltinci (3-2 on April 3). Gorica also fell 3-2 at Bilje on March 29 and suffered a 2-1 loss at Jadran Dekani on Feb. 28. The team has managed only two wins across its last 10 league contests.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Gorica and Rudar are meeting in the second tier of Slovenian football. After Saturday, Rudar travels to NK Jesenice on May 10.
