HERNING, Denmark (April 20, 2026) (Interstat) — Midtjylland W opened its Danish Superliga season with a 2-1 victory over ASA Aarhus at MCH Arena on Monday.

Substitutes provided the decisive plays for the hosts. Henrik Dalsgaard opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and fellow substitute Jesper Hansen doubled the lead in the 83rd. ASA Aarhus found a late consolation in the third minute of second-half stoppage time through forward Julius Emefile.

The match was physical, featuring four yellow cards. The result defied some pre-match projections, as Interstat’s game simulator had forecast a 3-1 Midtjylland win. Midtjylland begins the campaign 1-0-0, while Aarhus starts 0-1-0.
