Como vs Napoli
AP Sports Preview
COMO, Italy (Interstat) — Como hosts Napoli on Saturday, May 2, in a Serie A matchup at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time.
The game could be tightly contested. An internal game simulator projects a 1-1 draw. In the most recent head-to-head meeting Nov. 1, 2025, the teams played to a scoreless stalemate in Naples.
Napoli enters the match with strong recent form. The visitors cruised to a 4-0 victory over US Cremonese on April 24, improving to 5-1-1 over their last seven league outings. Before that shutout, Napoli played to a 2-2 draw with Roma on Feb. 15 and suffered a 2-1 loss to Atalanta on Feb. 22. Overall, Napoli has posted wins against Lecce, Torino and Verona, with draws against Parma and Udinese. The club’s only regulation loss in that span came against Lazio on April 18, falling 2-0.
Como also carries momentum. The hosts defeated Genoa 2-0 on April 26, snapping a four-match winless streak. Prior to that victory, Como suffered a 2-1 loss at Sassuolo on April 17 and a 4-3 defeat at home to Inter Milan on April 12. Como’s recent run includes a scoreless draw with Udinese, a 2-1 win over Roma on March 15, and a 3-1 victory at Lecce on Feb. 28. The club also posted a 5-0 win over Pisa on March 22.
In the head-to-head series, the clubs have matched up well defensively. The Nov. 1 draw extended a trend of low-scoring affairs, with neither side able to break through.
Saturday’s match is the second meeting of the season between the two Serie A sides. Napoli will host Bologna on May 11 in its next league fixture. Como has a quick turnaround, traveling to face ADO Den Haag on Saturday before returning to league play against Verona on May 10.
