UDINESE BLANKS TORINO 2‑0 IN SERIE A SEASON OPENER

UDINE, Italy (Interstat) — Kingsley Ehizibue and Thomas Kristensen each scored a goal as Udinese defeated Torino 2-0 on Saturday at Bluenergy Stadium.

Ehizibue broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time, finding the net at 45+1 minute off an assist from Christian Kabasele. Kristensen doubled the lead in the 51st minute with help from substitute Rafel Obrador.

Kabasele received a yellow card in the 46th minute and Obrador was booked three minutes later as the hosts controlled the match.

Udinese opened its Serie A campaign with a win, improving to 1-0 in both the competition and all competitions. Torino fell to 0-1 overall. The Granata managed no goals in the loss.

The victory came after Interstat’s pregame model had given Udinese a 72.80 percent win probability, though the final score outpaced its simulated projection of 1-1.
