OEIRAS, Portugal (Interstat) — The Portugal and Spain Under-19 national teams played to a 0-0 draw in a UEFA Championship qualification match Saturday at Cidade do Futebol.

The match, which failed to produce a goal, saw six yellow cards issued in a tense second half. The result leaves both sides with identical records in the qualification group.

A pregame projection had favored Spain with a 52.9% win probability and forecast a 1-1 scoreline, but neither attack could break through. The stalemate provides each team with one point to open their qualifying campaigns.
