VEVEY, Switzerland (April 15, 2026) (Interstat) — Wales U19 earned a commanding 3-1 victory over Latvia U19 in a UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualification match Wednesday at Stade de Copet.

Wales scored three goals in a decisive seven-minute span in the first half. Emily Cole opened the scoring in the 20th minute, followed by goals from Nia Lewis in the 24th and Casi Gregson in the 27th.

Latvia’s Jekaterina Haritonova pulled one back just before halftime in the 48th minute, but the home side could not close the gap further. Wales’ Scarlett Hill received a yellow card in the 60th minute.

The result gives Wales a winning start in the qualification group, while Latvia begins with a defeat.
