US Feurs vs FC Chamalieres
Preview: US Feurs Hosts FC Chamalieres in National 3 Clash
FEURS, France (Interstat) — US Feurs will host FC Chamalieres in a National 3 group match on Sunday, looking to replicate its recent success against the same opponent.
The matchup at Stade Maurice Rousson is a mid-table fixture in France’s fifth tier. Feurs (9th) enters with a slight edge in the most recent head-to-head, having defeated Chamalieres (11th) 2-0 on the road last Dec. 13.
Both sides are coming off draws in their previous outings on April 11. Feurs secured a 1-1 result at Dijon, while Chamalieres earned a confidence-boosting 1-0 home victory over Auxerre.
Form, however, has been inconsistent for both clubs this season. Feurs’ recent results show a mix, including a 4-2 win over Lorient U19 on March 7 but also a 3-1 loss to Saint-Etienne II in late February. Their home record has been patchy, with just one win in their last five matches at Stade Maurice Rousson.
Chamalieres has struggled for consistency since the new year. Its victory over Auxerre snapped a three-match winless streak. Prior results include a 2-0 loss to Lorient U19 and a 3-2 defeat to Macon 71 FC in early March, though it also posted a 3-0 win over Jura Sud Foot in February.
The statistical service Interstat projects a tightly contested affair, simulating a final score of 1-1.
For Feurs, the focus will be on converting recent draws into a home victory. For Chamalieres, building momentum from its upset of Auxerre will be key as it seeks to avenge December’s loss.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time Sunday.
