NAZARETH ILLIT, Israel (Interstat) — Ironi Tiberias defeated Maccabi Netanya 4-3 on Sunday in a Ligat ha’Al match at Green Stadium. Itay Ben Shabat opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by a Basam Zaarura goal three minutes later. Maor Levi put Tiberias ahead in the 51st minute before Matheus Davó equalized for Netanya in the 66th. Guy Hadida restored Tiberias’s lead in the 67th minute and added a second in the 90th minute to seal the win. Zaarura also recorded an assist. Bakary Konaté received a yellow card in the 83rd minute and a red card in stoppage time for Netanya. Yonatan Teper and Zaarura also received yellow cards. Tiberias improved to 9 wins, 11 losses and 2 draws in league play and 13 wins, 18 losses and 3 draws overall. Netanya fell to 10 wins, 10 losses and 3 draws in league and overall.
