JERUSALEM (Interstat) — Matan Hozez scored in the 29th minute to give Hapoel Jerusalem a 1-0 victory over Bnei Sakhnin on Sunday in a Ligat ha’Al match at Teddi Malcha Stadium.

Hozez’s goal was assisted by Andrew Idoko, Maicom Rodrigues and Hassan Hilu. The win improved Hapoel Jerusalem’s league record to 6-10-6 and its overall mark to 10-18-8. Bnei Sakhnin fell to 7-9-7 in the league and 12-17-11 overall.

The match featured six yellow cards: Alon Azugi in the 47th minute, Andrew Idoko in the 49th, Hassan Hilu in the 75th, Karlo Bručić in the 83rd, Aweka Ashata in the seventh minute of stoppage time and Maicom Rodrigues in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Hapoel Jerusalem next plays at Ashdod on Wednesday, while Bnei Sakhnin hosts Ironi Kir Shmona on the same day.
