Poland, Belgium Under-19 Sides Play to Scoreless Draw in Qualifier

GNIEZNO, Poland (Interstat) — The Poland and Belgium under-19 national teams played to a 0-0 draw in a UEFA U19 Championship qualification match Wednesday at Stadion MKS Mieszko Gniezno.

The result extended Poland’s unbeaten run in the competition, moving its record to four wins and one draw. Belgium earned a point, moving to one win, two losses and two draws in the qualifiers. The match failed to produce the goals projected by Interstat’s simulator, which had forecast a 1-1 result.

Substitutes provided rare offensive sparks in the defensive stalemate. Belgium’s Nel Neyrinck and Marthe Hens each recorded an assist, though neither led to a breakthrough. Both players also received yellow cards in the second half.

The draw keeps Poland atop its qualification group while Belgium continues to seek consistency in its campaign.
