POZNAŃ (Interstat) — Lech Poznan and Arka Gdynia played to a 1-1 draw Friday in their Ekstraklasa season opener at ENEA Stadion.

Arka Gdynia grabbed the lead in the 52nd minute when substitute Kike Hermoso scored. Lech Poznan equalized five minutes later on a goal by midfielder Luis Enrique Palma. Both teams finished with one goal apiece.

Assists went to substitutes Dominick Zator, Nazarii Rusyn, Jedrzej Grobelny and Dawid Gojny, along with defender Robert Gumny. The match featured five yellow cards: Dawid Gojny in the 22nd minute, Dominick Zator in the 65th, Robert Gumny in the 88th, Jedrzej Grobelny in the 90th plus four minutes and Nazarii Rusyn in the 90th plus eight minutes.

The draw left both teams with identical 0-0-1 records in the competition and across all competitions.
