Alt/Vorderland W vs First Vienna FC 1894

VIENNA (Interstat) — First Vienna FC 1894 visits Alt/Vorderland W on Sunday, May 3, in a Frauenliga matchup that carries significant implications for both sides’ positioning in the Austrian women’s football table.

The teams have split their two meetings this season. First Vienna defeated Alt/Vorderland 2-0 on March 22, while the clubs played to a 2-2 draw on Oct. 4, 2025. Alt/Vorderland has not beaten First Vienna in the regular season since the 2024 campaign.

First Vienna enters the match on a three-match winning streak and riding a surge of strong offensive form. The team defeated SPG Union Kleinmünchen/BW Linz 3-0 on April 25, its third win by a three-goal margin in four contests. That victory followed a 3-2 win over Linzer ASK W on March 28 and the 2-0 shutout of Alt/Vorderland on March 22. First Vienna’s only loss in its last six matches came Nov. 7, 2025, a 3-2 defeat to Sturm Graz W.

Alt/Vorderland, meanwhile, is searching for consistency. The home side played to a 3-3 draw with SpG Südburgenland/Hartberg on April 26, its first point in three matches after consecutive losses to Sturm Graz W (2-0 on March 29) and First Vienna (2-0 on March 22). Prior to that skid, Alt/Vorderland had won three of four, including a 2-1 victory over Linzer ASK W on Feb. 22 and a 6-2 rout of SpG Südburgenland/Hartberg on Dec. 7, 2025. However, the team also surrendered nine goals in a 9-1 loss to Saint Polten W on March 15, exposing defensive vulnerabilities.

A computer simulation by InterStat projects a 3-1 victory for Alt/Vorderland.

First Vienna’s upcoming schedule also includes a home match against SpG Südburgenland/Hartberg on May 10 and a home contest with Linzer ASK W on May 17. Alt/Vorderland travels to Linzer ASK W on May 9.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at Alt/Vorderland’s home ground.
