CAIRO (Interstat) — Wadi Degla SC earned a 2-0 victory over Pharco in an Egyptian Premier League match Wednesday at Al Salam Stadium.

The hosts established an early lead and never relented. Midfielder Hesham Mohamed opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a right-footed finish. Defender Saïf Touka doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute with a headed goal. Assists were credited to Ahmed Dahesh and goalkeeper Amr Hossam, respectively.

The win marked a positive start to the league campaign for Wadi Degla SC, which improved its overall season record. Pharco, which has struggled for form across all competitions, failed to find a response. The visitors managed only a draw in the previous meeting between the clubs last October.

Wadi Degla SC received three yellow cards in the second half to Pharco’s none.
