Grosseto vs Sansepolcro

Preview: Grosseto Hosts Sansepolcro in Serie D Clash

GROSSETO, Italy (Interstat) — Grosseto will look to maintain its recent dominance over visiting Sansepolcro when the two sides meet in a Serie D fixture on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

The hosts enter the match following a 1-1 road draw against Siena on April 2. Grosseto’s form has been inconsistent, with a record of two wins, three draws and one loss in its last six league matches. That stretch includes a commanding 6-0 victory over Cannara on Jan. 25 and a 1-0 win at Tau Altopascio on Feb. 15, but also home setbacks against Orvietana Calcio and Camaiore Calcio.

Sansepolcro arrives seeking its first win in nearly two months. Its last result was a 0-0 home draw with Montevarchi on April 2. The club is mired in a prolonged scoring drought, having failed to find the net in its last three matches, all losses, including defeats to Foligno and GSD Ghiviborgo. Sansepolcro’s last victory came in a 1-1 draw with Seravezza on March 22, and it has not won since a 1-1 draw with Follon Gavorrano on Jan. 18.

The head-to-head history favors Grosseto, which secured a 2-0 victory at Sansepolcro in their most recent encounter on Nov. 30, 2025.

Despite the contrasting trajectories, statistical models project a tight contest. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 1-1 draw.

A win for Grosseto could solidify its position in the upper half of the Serie D table, while Sansepolcro desperately needs points to reverse a slide that has seen it collect just three points from its last eight matches.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time at the Stadio Carlo Zecchini.
