Manfredonia vs Puteolana

MANFREDONIA, Italy (Interstat) — Manfredonia will seek to reverse a recent defeat and halt a concerning slide when it hosts struggling Puteolana in a Serie D fixture on Sunday.

The match at the Stadio Miramare pits two sides in need of a positive result as the Italian fourth-tier season enters its decisive phase.

Manfredonia (W-D-L: 3-4-5 in last 12) arrives after a 1-1 draw at Heraclea on April 2, but form has been inconsistent. The home side has managed just one win in its last five league outings, a 3-1 victory over Paganese on March 15. Defensive solidity has been an issue, with clean sheets rare.

Puteolana’s form is more alarming. The visitors have lost five consecutive matches since a 2-1 win over Fidel Andria on Feb. 15. The skid continued with a 1-0 home loss to Barletta on April 2. During this losing run, Puteolana has been outscored 10-2, highlighting struggles at both ends of the pitch.

The head-to-head history favors Puteolana, however, which earned a 1-0 home win when the teams met on Nov. 30, 2025.

Manfredonia will look to key attackers to spark its offense, having scored multiple goals in three of its last six home games. Puteolana’s defense, which has conceded two or more goals in four of its last five defeats, will be under immediate pressure to break its poor run.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw. That result would extend Manfredonia’s unbeaten run to two matches but would do little to lift Puteolana from its current slump.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time (1300 GMT) on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The match is organized by the Serie D league, Italy’s top amateur division.
