YEREVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — Alashkert defeated Ararat 3-2 on Saturday in a First League match at Vazgen Sargsyan anvan Hanrapetakan Marzadasht.

The visitors secured the victory despite detailed goal-scoring information being unavailable for three of the five total goals. The available match data shows Joseph Banda opened the scoring for Alashkert in the 30th minute, with Aboubacar Ouattara adding another just five minutes later.

The result improves Alashkert’s league record to 2-0-1 this season, while Ararat falls to 1-3-1. The outcome defied a pregame statistical projection of a 1-1 draw, though it aligned with Alashkert being a heavy favorite to win. The teams are scheduled for a quick rematch in league play on Tuesday.
