BÉJAÏA, Algeria (Interstat) — Rezki Hamroune’s 81st-minute header delivered a 1-0 victory for Oued Akbou over ES Setif in an Algerian Ligue 1 match Saturday at Stade de l’Unité Maghrébine.

The match, played on April 11, 2026, was a defensive struggle until Hamroune, who also recorded an assist, broke the deadlock late. The game was marred by discipline, featuring 11 yellow cards and a red card issued to Setif’s Mohamed Benchrifa in stoppage time.

The result gives Oued Akbou a winning start to both its Ligue 1 campaign and overall season. ES Setif begins the competition with a loss. The narrow win defied a pregame projection from Interstat that forecast a 1-1 draw, though its system heavily favored the home side.
