KHENCHELA, Algeria (Interstat) — USM Khenchela earned a decisive 3-0 road victory over ES Mostaganem in an Algerian Ligue 1 match Friday at Stade Ben Hamiti El Arbi.

All three goals came from second-half substitutes, defying a pregame projection that favored the home side. Abdelhak Askar opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a header. Randy Essang-Matouti doubled the lead in the 39th minute, followed by a 51st-minute goal from Mohamed Réda Boumechra. Aymen Bendaoud, also a substitute, recorded an assist and received the match’s only yellow card in the 31st minute.

The win improves USM Khenchela’s league record. ES Mostaganem’s struggles continued as it failed to score at home.
