İMİŞLİ, Azerbaijan (Interstat) — İmişli FK hosts Genclerbirliyi Sumqayıt on Saturday, April 25, in a Premyer Liqa matchup as both clubs jostle for position late in the season.

İmişli enters on a three-match unbeaten run after a 1-0 win at Kəpəz PFK on April 19. That result followed consecutive 1-0 victories over Qəbələ and a 1-1 draw with Turan. The club’s recent form has been uneven, however, having suffered lopsided losses to Neftçi PFK (6-0 on March 20) and Sabah FK (5-0 on March 14). İmişli has struggled to score consistently, netting only once in its last five matches, while conceding just two goals over that span.

Genclerbirliyi Sumqayıt arrives after a 1-0 home win against Qəbələ on April 19, snapping a four-match losing streak. Prior to that, the visitors had dropped decisions to Turan (2-1), Neftçi PFK (3-1), Sabah FK (3-1) and Şamaxı FK (1-0). The club has also managed only one victory in its last eight contests, with draws against Karvan (1-1) and Qəbələ (0-0) mixed in.

Saturday’s fixture marks the second-to-last home match for İmişli, which travels to Araz-Naxçıvan PFK on May 2. Genclerbirliyi Sumqayıt visits Kəpəz PFK the same day.
