BAKU, Azerbaijan (Interstat) — Şamaxı FK and Kəpəz PFK meet Sunday, April 26, 2026, in an Azerbaijan Premyer Liqa matchup at Şamaxı’s home ground, with both teams seeking to rebound from defeats.

Şamaxı (wins-losses-draws record unavailable) dropped a 1-0 decision at Karvan on April 18. Kəpəz (record unavailable) fell 1-0 at home to İmişli FK on April 19.

The head-to-head series is split this season. Şamaxı won the most recent meeting 2-0 on Jan. 31. Kəpəz claimed the previous matchup Oct. 17, 2025, by a 4-1 margin.

Şamaxı enters the contest with mixed results. After the Jan. 31 win over Kəpəz, Şamaxı went winless in three league matches: scoreless draws with Turan and İmişli FK, and a 2-2 tie with Neftçi PFK on Feb. 28. A 1-0 victory at Genclerbirliyi Sumqayıt on March 13 preceded a 1-0 loss at Turan and the April 18 defeat at Karvan.

Kəpəz has also struggled recently.
