SALZBURG, Austria (Interstat) — Saint Polten W defeated FC Red Bull Salzburg 3-0 on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the opening match of the Frauenliga season at Akademie Liefering - Platz 1.

Saint Polten W took control early. Sarah Mattner-Trembleau, a substitute, scored in the third minute and later added an assist. Magdalena Rukavina, also a substitute, found the net in the 13th minute, and Carina Brunold, another substitute, scored in the 36th minute to cap the first-half scoring.

Mattner-Trembleau received a yellow card in the 55th minute.
