FK Austria Wien vs Sturm Graz W

Preview: Austria Wien Hosts Sturm Graz in Frauenliga Clash

VIENNA (Interstat) — FK Austria Wien will look to extend its recent dominance over Sturm Graz W when the two Frauenliga sides meet Saturday at Generali Arena.

Kickoff is set for a time to be announced.

Austria Wien enters the match on a strong run, unbeaten in its last four league games. The Vienna side most recently drew 0-0 at FC Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday, May 3. Prior to that, Austria Wien played to a scoreless draw at Saint Pölten W on April 26 and posted a 5-0 victory at SPG Union Kleinmünchen/BW Linz on March 29.

Sturm Graz W, meanwhile, is coming off a 2-0 loss at Saint Pölten W on Friday, May 1. The defeat halted a two-match winning streak for the visitors, who had beaten FC Red Bull Salzburg 1-0 on April 25 and Alt/Vorderland W 2-0 on March 29.

The head-to-head record this season strongly favors Austria Wien. The Vienna side has won both previous meetings, including a 2-0 home victory on Dec. 6, 2025, and a 1-0 win in Graz on Sept. 14, 2025. Austria Wien has not allowed a goal against Sturm Graz in either contest.

An Interstat game simulator projects a 2-0 win for Austria Wien, consistent with the teams’ recent form and history.

The result carries significant implications for the league table. Austria Wien will face Sturm Graz again on the road just eight days later, on Sunday, May 17, as part of a packed closing stretch. The Vienna club’s other May fixtures include a home match against FC Red Bull Salzburg on May 23 and a visit from Saint Pölten on May 30.

Sturm Graz’s schedule also includes return matches against Saint Pölten (May 22) and FC Red Bull Salzburg (May 29).

Saturday’s match marks the third of four scheduled meetings between the two clubs this season.
