ALEXANDRIA, Egypt (Interstat) — Substitute Ahmed Hamed Shousha converted a late penalty Saturday as Pharco salvaged a 1-1 draw with Ghazl El Mahalla SC in the Egyptian Premier League at Borg el-Arab Stadium.

Ghazl El Mahalla forward Aliou Badara opened the scoring in the sixth minute, assisted by defender Babacar Ndiaye. Pharco pressed for an equalizer and found it in the 85th minute when Shousha scored from the spot, with the penalty drawn by fellow substitute Moaz Abdelsalam.

The match was a tense affair, featuring eight yellow cards. The result leaves both teams in the lower half of the table. Pharco now has a record of 3-9-9, while Ghazl El Mahalla moves to 3-12-4 in league play.
